1. Join a Registered Chinese Tour Group
For Chinese tourist visa, One of the most reliable methods is to join a government-registered tour group traveling to China. Tour operators in the U.S. that work with licensed Chinese partners may be able to provide group visa support for Nigerian citizens.
- You’ll need to join the entire group itinerary
- Independent travel is not allowed under this type of visa
- Tours must be arranged well in advance
This option is limited in availability and usually requires you to follow a fixed schedule.
2. Obtain a Government Invitation from the Chinese Foreign Affairs Office
For Chinese Business visa, you may use the second option is to apply for a visa using an official invitation letter from China’s Foreign Affairs Office (FAO). This is a rare and formal invitation, typically used for:
- Government visits
- High-level business delegations
- Academic or institutional exchanges
Unless you or your inviter have strong ties with a Chinese government agency or institution, this option may be difficult to obtain.
3. Attend a Major Trade Show in China (e.g., Canton Fair)
The third—and increasingly popular—option is to attend a major business exhibition in China, such as the Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair).
